Club Notes – February 9th 2026

LOTTO DRAW
Our club lotto draw took place on Monday, February 2nd in the Clubhouse for a jackpot of €4,920.

Numbers drawn were 3, 12, 21, 27.

As there was no outright jackpot winner, the following four cash prizes were drawn:

€40 Patrick O’Neill
€20 Frank Lynch
€20 Danielle Gilchriest
€20 Niall Gallagher.

Congratulations to our winners.
Our next lotto draw will take place in The Richmond Inn, Clondra on Sunday, February 15th, for a jackpot €4,980.

CANAL WALK
Thanks to everyone who took part in our annual Canal Walk in honour of St Brigid on the February Bank Holiday Monday. It was a cold day out, but thankfully, it stayed dry. Thanks to Jenny, Amanda and Jennifer for the refreshments afterwards in the clubhouse.

 

REGISTRATION / MEMBERSHIP
Club Membership is now due for all players and members. Please contact our Registrar, Liam Farrell or Secretary Anne to arrange payment. You can also register online at foireann.ie.

 

RETURN BOTTLES AND CANS
The club has a return bin located outside the backdoor of the clubhouse for all those unwanted return bottles and cans. All monies raised will go towards the running of the club.

 

SCRAP METAL COLLECTION
Any unwanted metal items you have lying around the house or farmyard can be dropped into Liam Farrell’s workshop, Monday to Friday 9.00am to 6.00pm. All monies raised goes towards the running of the club. Collection can also be arranged and if in doubt of what’s acceptable, you can contact Liam on 0861632842.

 

SYMPATHY
We send our deepest sympathies to Brendan, Trudie Farrell and family, Killashee on the passing of Brendan’s Aunt, Bridie Spearman, of Grillagh, Killashee. Bridie was a great loyal supporter of our club, and we also extend our sympathies to all the Farrell, Connaughton and Spearman families at this time. May her gentle soul rest in peace.
