The club will host a Table Quiz on Friday, March 27th in the Richmond Inn, Clondra. A table of four costs €40, and a great night’s entertainment is guaranteed, with plenty of spot prizes to be won. We encourage everyone to get their teams together and come along to support the club. We would also greatly appreciate any sponsorship for the event. Anyone wishing to contribute can contact any committee member. As always, your continued support is very much appreciated.
CONGRATS
Massive congrats to our own Michael and Frank Murtagh and the Moyne CS U16 team on their fantastic win last Thursday in the Leinster GAA PPS North Leinster U16 C final, defeating St. Ciaran’s CS Kells on a scoreline of 2-14 to 2-12.
Congrats also to all our Longford representatives; Dylan Farrell continues his outstanding form with the Longford Senior Footballers who secured a strong win over Carlow last weekend and now sit firmly in the promotion race. Shout‑out also to our dual players Johnny Casey, David Buckley and Kealan Cox, all making big contributions to the Longford Senior Hurlers as they push for promotion in the League.
Brilliant performances all around.
RETURN BOTTLES & CANS
The club has a return bin located outside the backdoor of the clubhouse for all those unwanted return bottles and cans. All monies raised will go towards the running of the club.
SCRAP METAL COLLECTION
Any unwanted metal items you have lying around the house or farmyard can be dropped into Liam Farrell’s workshop, Monday to Friday 9.00am to 6.00pm. All monies raised goes towards the running of the club. Collection can also be arranged and if in doubt of what’s acceptable, you can contact Liam on 0861632842.
PROPERTY MARKING SCHEME
The Longford Local Community Safety Partnership, in conjunction with Longford County Council, An Garda Síochana and Killashee GAA, are holding a Property Marking Event in the Club Grounds on Saturday March 14th from 12pm to 4pm.
The Property Marking Scheme is a crime prevention initiative that deters theft by engraving an owner’s Eircode onto valuables (bicycles, tools, trailers, farm machinery, etc.). Using specialised machines , the indelible, dot-matrix mark makes items hard to sell and easy for An Garda Síochána to return.
